It was a bad day for
apprentice clerics at the temple of Krumshil yesterday. While
students tested their 1st level Luck Domain spells their instructors
fired bolts at the assembly. Regrettably, only six of the thirty
students was unharmed. The headmaster later revealed that the
instructors forgot the spell only provided a 20% miss chance and not
immunity from missile weapons. One of the five instructors
involved in the incident was retained after an afternoon meeting
with the headmaster. The other four were unavailable for comment.
A Cleric of Philgore was
exiled from the temple after gambling away donations. Church
officials became suspicious after the cleric went missing for
several days last week. When he returned he claimed he had been
sick. The following day he was exiled. Temple Philgore has not had a
cleric miss service because of sickness in it's existence.
A street vendor near the
temple of Warren was arrested last week after selling fake Quaal's
Feather Tokens. The tokens, seen as holy symbols by the followers of
Warren, depicted an oak tree but did not radiate magic.
A struggle of wills is shaping
up between followers of Diver and followers of Xelor. The catacombs
beneath the temple of Xelor have been overrun by dire rats and the
temple's priests have called for volunteers to clean the infestation
out. Word of this plan reached worshippers of Diver who believe the
rats should be caught and released into the sewers where they
belong. The two temples are negotiating a settlement that hopes to
satisfy both groups.
