Mountaineers return from trek
north of the Wall of the Dead. "We have mapped out the route the
enemy may take to invade the eastern free kingdoms", one musher
gasped. Several families and clerics of most major religions were on
hand to greet the exhausted travelers. Arcane markers were placed at
several locations along the north side of the Wall so that mages in
Geyser could more easily watch for an army on the move through the
artic.
Boats leaving Geyser on
mapping missions are more likely to sink during the passage to Belde
then any other destination, a study finds. The study, commissioned
by the Seafarer's Union (located in the Wharf District), captured
data from the last 34 expeditions to leave port. Of these, 13 were
lost. Two were headed south, three east, and eight were headed to
Belde. The anomalous numbers add up to better pay for the seafarers
hearty enough to brave a trip across the gulf to Belde.
Plant infestations are
threatening crops in and around the south coast. Scholars fear the
infestations are results of non-native plants being brought back to
Geyser for study after expeditions abroad. A council of clerics and
druids representing Thornaolf, Warren, and Diver has convened to
assess the situation and offer solutions.
