Construct of the Day

Pirates attack another ship headed for Belde.

Business News

Imperial Navy No Match for Pirates

Another shipment from Geyser to the Belde merchant consortium was high-jacked this week. The Imperial Navy sailed in pursuit of the vessel but failed to bring the pirates to justice. The Covington and Bewchard merchant houses are offering substantial rewards for information that could help in breaking the pirate blockade of Geyser.

In Other News

Silver prices have jumped lately in the Northlands. Some money watchers are trading silver as high as 8:1 (8 sp for 1 gp). A Marset merchant clan convoy left town yesterday loaded with silver for trade in the Northlands and two other merchant houses look to be readying silver shipments as well.

In other metal futures; copper remains stable at 101:1 while platinum slumped a bit, trading at 1:9.8 late in the day yesterday. For daily metal futures prices visit the Metal Merchants at the north end of the market district.

Rare coins from the lost city of Karuth have surfaced in Geyser over the past two weeks. These extremely rare coins have led to the rumor that someone has found the lost city. Antiquities dealers have lowered prices all over the realm on Karuth finery hoping to move the pieces in case  the rumors are true and a glut of new items flood the market.

Tradesman and craftsman have stopped work on the restoration of the old merchant guild. Many claim the site is haunted and want magical backup before continuing their work. Several of the workers have seen ghosts and spectres since work began and two are now confined to the Gualish Sanitarium after suffering extremely close calls with the ethereal beings.
